Our mission
Our primary mission as an association is to provide the opportunity for continuing education to our members and to promote the improvement of professional knowledge and skills and to advocate quality initiatives that relate to the verification and on-going assessment of competency of individuals who provide health care.

WAMSS is a professional association for individuals in the Medical Staff Services field. Our primary mission is to provide the opportunity for continuing education to our members and to promote the improvement of professional knowledge and skills, and to advocate quality health care.
Our history
Founded in 1980, WAMSS has grown from a few individuals to over 160 members, representing over 100 healthcare institutions. Our association has evolved from a membership of mostly hospital-based individuals to a diverse group representing the entire spectrum of healthcare. Today, across the State of Wisconsin in almost every organization providing healthcare services, you will find a skilled and experienced professional responsible for verifying the credentials of healthcare practitioners.
